New Life – KIDS!

changing families

New Life Kids

There is a nursery to the left of the café for infants to age 2. Our child care workers have passed a background check and will care for your children in a clean, fun environment for the entire service.

Children ages 3-11 check in upstairs in the updated New Life Kids area. There is a kids focused worship time followed by small age appropriate groups with a Bible lesson each week.

Family service is on 5th Sundays. Children accompany families in the sanctuary for the entire service. Busy bags are available and a soundproof, private cry room is in the back of the sanctuary left of the sound area.

There is also a mid week kids service on Wednesday evenings beginning in the fall. Check out our New Life Kids group page for the most updated information.

The Gilgenbach Family

Ashley Gilgenbach

Ashley was raised in Metamora, a small town just outside of Peoria, Ill. Being raised Catholic, Ashley attended church, however her childhood mainly focused on athletics. Although rewarding in many ways, her sports schedule left her with little time for church and other faith based activities. During her sophomore year of highschool, Ashley knew there was something missing in her life. Shortly after, a close friend invited her to a “Converge Conference”, where she gave her life to Christ.

Ashley then attended Saint Xavier University, in Chicago, where she met her husband, Eddie, and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Science and Nursing. During her time in the nursing field, Ashley and Eddie would have four wonderful children; Isla(7), Dash(5), Eddie(3), and Thea(1). Shortly after attending New Life Church, Ashley began volunteering in children’s church. Knowing she had a passion for kids, she felt God’s call to pour into Kids Ministry as much as she would her own children if an opportunity presented itself. As her maternity leave came to a close, Ashley was approached with the possibility of leading the Children’s Ministry. After much prayer and discussion, She and Eddie agreed to take a step of faith. Ashley would step away from her profession as a labor and delivery nurse to follow the call to lead the Children’s Ministry full time. The decision proved to truly be God’s will as Ashley frequently mentions the rewarding experience of guiding young children in the way of Christ.
